Had a physical therapist in today, as we did yesterday. Yesterday was to evaluate us for continuing the program in a different format. Today Ann worked with Jane’s hand. The hand therapist is to come back in two weeks. If the evaluation works out for Medicare coverage.
Didn't get thru the night without incident, when all was done it was tough night. Today was a bit stressful with the with the showering routine, but that went better than I thought it would. Got a chance to get to the dump with my garbage. Picked up Jane',s meds at CVS, and then some groceries.
When I was first married I was shocked to hear a young cashier in the Shoprite called me"Sir" it was a first. Today in Lowes foods A young cashier asked if I needed help getting the groceries to my car.....man this is getting serious.
Things went pretty well today. Nothing dramatic going on. Sort of enjoyed the peacefulness. Jane and I enjoyed a breakfast bowl with egg, potato, and bacon. Had a waffle around lunch. My Tar Heels played Florida State at noon and lost. Dinner was a shrimp cocktail and spaghetti lasagna. Dessert was of course a dish of ice cream.
It looks like another beautiful day here in paradise, sun is out big time. Morning routine is in progress. will add to as goes on. Going to extend suet feeder height so Mom can see birds. Lost the other feeder to one of the critters, had a raccoon climbing the pole. the I tried to make a video of Jane's exercises, got it on the ipad, but couldn't move it to chrome book where I could increase the volume.
Sent estimated tax vouchers out yesterday afternoon. Rainy morning today fell asleep watching game last night, wasn’t that interested. Tonight my heels play? Dinner new twist, crepes folded over a chicken cream sauce filling. Harris Teeter chicken has its last minutes on this stove. Jane really liked this crepes are great vehicle for just about anything.
Today's dinner went well, meatloaf, mashed potatoes mushroom gravy, and later ice cream. Sat up in chair to do it. Forgot to take pictures of our dinner.
While Jane and her physical therapist were standing in front of the sink Jane had a fainting spell. The therapist wanted to call 911 which we did. EMS Checked her out BP was 96/61 hr 73 89% oxyg. They took her to the ER (ED) to check her out for syncopal event. event...recommended cardiovascular evaluation on 14 Jan 10:15 at Meadowmont Village.
Sort of a cloudy day made a seafood medley type of dinner. Had an earlier talk with Stan, he’s always expressed his willingness to help if I needed a strong back with moving stuff or things an old man like me would have trouble doing. Christmas trees ready to go to the attic.
Well it’s a rainy day that’ll end this difficult year for all of us. Tonight it’s chicken, pot pie and ice cream for dessert. In the morning I will make crepes to start off the new year. I have a delivery coming with groceries from Walmart. This is my first delivery of groceries. The next thing is to arrange prescription deliveries from CVS......

Looks like it’s going to be a good day, the sunrise this morning was spectacular. Still the morning was real cold. A relative of a friend had hackers break into their finances on the computer, over the holidays a quick stop order held the damage down. Tonight I’m going to combine the pot roast with peppers and onions over rice.
Well we survived another Christmas. The kids called and provided a real treat for us. It’s always a treat to hear from them this year more then before. Mom was always asking did you talk to anybody? My day was pretty uneventful which was ok with me. Dinner went well with meatloaf, mashed potatoes, and corn. Dessert was a slab of fudge swirl ice cream.
I’m thankful that today just seems like another day. Seems like yesterday my brother was wacking me in the head with a toy truck. Guess it’s best for me to celebrate the day because I can. Recently talked with my cousin Delores and she spun my Rolodex memory way back.

Rain in AM got some plugs onto phone control. Discovered the joys of Rigatoni pasta nice and big easy to eat.
It’s a beautiful day today sun out temps are in 49’s. All in all it’s wonderful start. Pot roast is on the menu for tonight. Instant pot will make fast work of dinner. Tar Heels play Miami at 3:30 today. Must remember to call my friend at 8:00.......Heels win big
This day began quietly and early. On a birthday its been a tradition here to have crepes for breakfast, Birthdays and Valentine's day demand crepes. So I got up at 5:55 easy to remember. Jane ate the Lioness' share if Liz was here they would have been gone re ally quickly. So I did get to .have some for myself. The birthday was my 86th by the grace of God is said often, this could be a pretty good demonstration of that. Later I got a birthday greetings from old friends and the kids. Well its wonderful to be here.
Things are going well here. Last night we ate a chicken pot pie from Kay Little’s kitchen. It was delicious. Cool morning day. Gets up to 60
Today was a really cool day the sun was shining brightly all day. Even though the cold can be uncomfortable the air is usually Chrystal clear. Got some shopping done needed some treats and more juice. Yesterday Jane’s physical therapist Melissa spent an hour working on Jane’s shoulder mobility. It’s improved considerably over the last few weeks. The occupational therapist is due Thursday. I did get an unexpected Birthday present of a box of Godiva chocolates, I had the CRV inspected today they came got the car inspected it and changed the oil and returned the vehicle.
Sunday is usually the day I get a Harris Teeter chicken. This will get to serve two meals today and Tuesday. Quiet day today. Tomorrow therapist is scheduled for around 2:00.
Today was pretty normal. Jane's physical therapist worked with her loosening up her left shoulder. Bringing her arms straight out and back to a self hug position and reaching over her head holding a pole in both hands and back down to her waist. Left arms range of movement still inhibited.
Later that evening I was able to talk to my friend from long ago. Pleasant memories from 1959......before email or facebook.
